Enabling archiving in Exchange 2010 SP1

One of the important features that Microsoft Exchange SP1 brings us 2010 is the possibility of managing the archiving of our users directly in Exchange and being able to store it remotely wherever we are interested, for example in an archive database located on a secondary disk drive (without good performance, no RAID protection…) in order to maintain user mailboxes in accordance with our requirements; This is interesting for specific users who need to have a high volume of stored mail.

VMware vCenter HeartBeat

In this document, we'll look at installing and configuring VMware vCenter Heartbeat, this product allows us to obtain high availability of our VMware vCenter server in environments where it is critical, allowing application-level protection at all times, services, SQL Server if on-premises, Update Manager or if we have VMware View protecting it for use with VMware Composer. With this product we will have two vCenter servers, A primary one (active) and a secondary one (passive) where we can manually change roles (switchover) or in the event of a fall (failover) We will have high availability since the information is continuously replicated through a private network, This drop could be at the hardware level, S.O., Network Issues, vCenter application crashes or their dependencies.

This feature is available for Enterprise editions & Platinum de Presentation Server 4.5 (with or without Feature Pack 1) Rollup Pack 3, XenApp 5 o XenApp 6.

Citrix QuickLaunch Tool

For all those who still use Program Neighborhood you will know that from the 11.1 of Citrix customers can no longer avail of this functionality. In order to give it a continuity, Citrix some time ago released a utility called Citrix Quick Launch that will allow us to connect directly to XenApp servers or to its applications as 'old'.
