Citrix ShareFile is a business solution that allows for the secure exchange and synchronization of files between our company and our collaborators, allowing controlled access to the necessary resources. We will be able to connect to them from any device and from anywhere, both online and offline!

It is a solution designed for businesses and taken as a reference for corporate DropBox, it will allow us to meet collaboration needs, enabling greater mobility while ensuring control and security, where we can also limit its use or monitor shared files.

We will have two methods of deployment:

• Citrix-managed StorageZones: Storage resides in the Citrix cloud, and is contracted through monthly payments.
  • ShareFile Ent Ed – 1 GB Storage
    • It is a user license on an annual payment basis
    • A minimum must be purchased 5 Users
    • Includes management of unlimited internal storage
  • ShareFile Ent Ed – 20 GB Storage
    • It is a user license on an annual payment basis
    • A minimum must be purchased 5 Users
    • Includes management of unlimited internal storage
  • ShareFile Ent Ed – 100 GB Storage Pack Add ON
    • It is an annual payment license
    • It is not purchased per user
    • It is distributed among users according to their defined quotas
    • Cannot be purchased without having subscribed users.

• Customer-managed StorageZone: Unlike the previous one, we can connect to local repositories that we have in our own DPC, are shares for CIFS files or connection to our SharePoint or also to a Windows Azure account. This will only be with the Enterprise edition. It will also allow us to integrate authentication with our own Active Directory!

    • It is the maintenance of the previous license, mandatory for at least the first year

We are faced with the simplest scenario, a ShareFile environment where data resides in Citrix DataCenters, we would always authenticate with user accounts also stored in Citrix, it would be a pay-per-use.

In this second example, we would find ourselves in the same previous scenario, but where we can integrate user authentication against our Active Directory.

And this would be the most complex scenario where we would have the ShareFile service but this time stored in our DataCenter, which will allow us access once we have authenticated with our Active Directory.
