If we ever need to migrate the database from our Symantec Backup Exec to another database server, or even to get it from SQL Express itself to a network DB server we can follow this simple doc, it will be enough to run the 'Exec Backup Utility', we will indicate the new destination of the DB and restart the Bexec services.

Abrimos el ejecutable ‘beutility.exe’ en ‘%ProgramFiles%SymantecBackup Exec’,

Sobre nuestro servidor de copias de seguridad Backup Exec > “Nueva ubicación de base de datos de Backup Exec…”,

Indicamos el nombre del servidor SQL Server destino & su instancía & “Accept”,

Esto afectará a los servicios de Backup Exec que deberán detenerse. “Yes”,

And nothing… esperamos mientras detiene servicios, migra BD e inicia servicios…

Podremos comprobar a nivel de servicio de Backup Exec cómo éste ya no depende del servicio SQL Express y por lo tanto podremos ya quitar este servicio, como comprobaremos en el nuevo servidor de BBDD que la BD existe.
