What's new in Citrix XenApp 7.7 and Citrix XenDesktop 7.7
Zonas
Therefore,, ahora no solo podremos tener entornos multi site, donde cada site tiene su propia base de datos (que esto sigue siendo recomendado para entornos grandes), but now we will finally have a single site with multiple zones, with a database and managed from a single console!
Database
Improvements in flow and configuration, when creating the site we can specify different databases for the site separately, Logs and monitoring database. Until now we only had one database with all the content.
We will be able to add the Delivery Controllers whenever we want, since until now we could only add them right after creating the Site.
Limits on applications
Finally, we regain this option, now we will be able to limit the number of times an application can be opened, With this, we will be able to limit its opening to a number of users who work with this application simultaneously.
Citrix Director
- We will be able to create preventive alerts and notifications based on limits
- Integration with SCOM (Microsoft System Center 2012 Operations Manager)
- Integrated Windows authentication is allowed to log in to this large console.
- New views that show us the usage of VDA with desktop OS ordered by site or delivery group, as well as server OS. Providing us with real-time visibility of the needs throughout the organization to meet it with more capacity if necessary!
Provisioning Services 7.7
- Support also for Windows 10 as Guest OS.
- Support for VHDX! achieving a remarkable improvement in provisioning performance!
- UEFI supported in pre-boot.
- Multiple CPU BootStrap supported so booting is faster as well.
- And wizard to provision vGPU with XenDesktop!
