Microsoft Active Directory Topology Diagrammer or MADTD is a great program, that will help us to get Visio format schemes on the topology of our Active Directory. It will take us a vsd drawing with the data from: Domains, Ous, Sites, Exchange, Applications, Servers…

To do this,, we download the application from the Microsoft website (HTTP://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=cb42fc06-50c7-47ed-a65c-86266174276).

Once lowered, we run it to install it, “Next” To start the installation wizard.

We accept the license agreement, “I Agree” & “Next”,

Select the installation directory, Default: “C:Microsoft Active Directory Topology Diagrammer Program Files”, “Next”,

“Next” to run the installation,

… We wait while you install…

GOOD, Click on “Close” to close the installation.

We execute it, “Microsoft Active Directory Topology Diagrammer”

This is the app itself, We must choose the options that we are interested in coming out of each drawing, Domains, Ous, Sites, Exchange, Applications or servers; When we got everything right, Click on “Discover!” to run the discovery of the data to be drawn.

Once discovered, We must draw it, To do this, click on “Draw!”,

List, now we close this app and the Visio drawing will open.

List! we have a Visio drawing with our data at the Active Directory level! Now we can use them for whatever we need.
