Checking Load Balancing in Citrix XenApp 6
Today we see a Citrix utility that will help us check the correct functioning of load balancing in our Citrix XenApp communities 6. It is a tool that will simulate the process of loading a specific application with a specific user/group (even indicating a computer name and/or IP address). We will be able to obtain load information from XenApp servers, Load Balancing Policies, Working Group Information (new), Order of preferences…
We just need to download the tool from Official Website and run it as administrator of the XenApp farm 6. We will have several ways to simulate an execution with it:
If we don't have load balancing policies defined, we can run: ‘LBDiag PUBLISHED_APP_NAME’. And if we know the load balancing policy, we add the parameter ‘/POLICY POLICY_NAME’.
If we know the data we want to test with (or duplicate the user account we will use for testing): ‘LBDiag PUBLISHED_APP_NAME /USER USER_NAME /PASS USER_PASSWORD /DOMAIN DOMAIN /CLIENTNAME CLIENT_NAME /CLIENTIP CLIENT_IP_ADDRESS’. In order to calculate the load balancing policy and simulate the load for that user. O en vez de con usuarios, con grupos con el parámetro: ‘/GROUPS DOMINIOGRUPO1 DOMINIOGRUPO2’
