Freezing your PC with Deep Freeze

Atypical document, but curious, The other day a client showed me how practical it is to freeze certain computers in the organization, thus forcing that every morning with the ignition they are totally new. It is very common to use it in universities, colleges, or as a fat-client, where if we need a Windows as a post, We will make sure that it is as good as the first day! I'm sure you can think of some equipment to put it on…

In this article we will use the Faronics Deep Freeze tool, where we will have two versions, Standard & Enterprise Quite Affordable, with which we can also automate deployments with GPO's, Use it with roaming profiles, etc… We have in our library A lot of documentation on various topics.

We'll see that we have the DeepFreeze icon on the taskbar, if it comes out with that icon it means that any changes we make will NOT be saved on the next reboot. So if we want to install some software, Making changes, etc… we must press Shift and we will double click on its icon,

And we can freely switch from frozen mode (Frozen) To thaw (Thawed).

So we can install software, etc… Let's not forget to leave it frozen later and surely these computers will not give us problems again, not even viruses, spyware, slowness, 'Spoiled’ by users…
