Mount/Map VMware Server Virtual Disks to Your PC

VMware disks with VMDK format can be mounted on our computer for the task we need, either access your disks at a specific time or directly to make a backup of the contents of the virtual machine. We will be able to achieve this thanks to 'Vmware-Mount'.

GOOD, from the command line on the VMware Server, We're going to “C:Program FilesVMwareVMware Server”

We have the executable 'vmware-mount', if we put the parameter /? we get all the parameters that we can use.

The format for mounting a VMDK disk on a local disk drive is: 'vmware-mount.exe LETTER: PATH_AL_FICHERO_VMDK’

At that time, If we're going to “My PC” we will see the mapped drive with the contents of this virtual machine. This is the moment we will use to access your data.

To remove the disk drive, Run: 'vmware-mount.exe LETTER: /d’
