Today we see the first Citrix application designed exclusively for mobile devices, In the GoldenGate Project, they have developed an email client with the look of an app that will run securely and centrally on our XenApp servers and be displayed on Android, iPhone, iPad, tablets or any mobile device. This email client connects to the autodiscover service of our Exchange organization, authenticates the user and shows their email, their contacts and calendar. All of this with the idea of bringing Citrix closer to users 🙂

We need a MyCitrix account to download it. Requirements:

– Framework 4 on the XenApp 5 FP2/FP3 or XenApp6.
– Microsoft Word (x86 only) 2007 or 2010.
– Autodiscover service configured on Exchange Server.

Instalamos Citrix Project GoldenGate en cada servidor XenApp,

GOOD, si no tenemos configurado el servicio Autodiscover podremos configurar manualmente nuestro servidor de Acceso de Cliente en el fichero ‘GoldenGate.exe.config’ in:

Modificando ‘<value />’ por ‘<value>https://SERVIDOR_CAS/EWS/Exchange.asmx</value>’

Publicamos la aplicación en FullScreen además de poner en la descripción de la app ‘keywords:mobile’ indicando al Receiver que reconozca la aplicación que está diseñada para dispositivos móviles.
