In this document, we're going to exploit the visualization of the data that our Elasticsearch collects, To end up seeing them as no, in Grafana. In future posts we will do other different types of visualization that are very cool to understand what is happening on our network, today it's time for Table format.
In this post we will see the steps we must follow to install Meerkat on a Debian 10.6. Meerkat is a high-performance network engine, as IDS (Intrusion Detection System), IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) and used as a network monitoring system, and of course, Open Source!
We continue with a last post about the core installation of our real-time monitoring system, today we will see how to install Kibana. By definition we could summarize this tool as a data visualizer, that through different panels or Dashboards we can try to see and understand what we have stored.
Today we start with the first of all, a document where we will see the steps necessary to fully deploy Elasticsearch, which will be our data warehouse to store the logs or metrics of the equipment, and then attack with Kibana or Grafana to visualize it!
Well, We are going to make a series of documents where I am going to show you the necessary steps to have a fully skilled and functional real-time monitoring solution. We will base ourselves on the multiple options that the mythical Elastic Stack will give us, made up of Elasticsearch-type tools, Logshtash, Kibana and of course Beats packs.
