Continuing the process of deploying more types of resources from our VMware Workspace infrastructure, in a previous document we already saw how to integrate it with VMware View, today we'll look at how to publish streaming apps with VMware ThinApp. This simple process will allow users to run isolated packaged applications on their computer (from anywhere).
Horizon Workspace 1.0 is VMware's centralization suite with which we can give secure access to our users, whether external or internal, to our corporate applications (centralize and control Windows software with ThinApp), as well as SaaS applications (Web), file synchronization or access to the View virtual desktop platform.
From VMware LABs, we will be able to download ThinApp Factory to automate the process of creating ThinApp packages in our environment. ThinApp Factory is nothing more than a Debian virtual appliance that can be deployed on vSphere 4.1 (or higher) which has a Tomcat-based web interface. We will be able to upload installers and then automatically transform them from different MV templates and directly generate the necessary ThinApp packages, which we will then distribute to our users.

Introducing a new VMware product, it is called VMware ThinApp and its purpose is to distribute applications to users, Streaming apps, new competitor e.g. Citrix Application Streaming (HERE). What I said, VMware Introduces Product as a Solution for Delivering Applications to Users, so that they can run them without the applications having to be installed on their workstations.
