Este año hemos tenido el placer de realizar un seminario web para uno de los eventos de la Semana IT, tuvimos la oportunidad de poder explicar de una forma sencilla todas las novedades y las características de los productos Citrix Workspace Suite y VMware Horizon Suite.
We started with a series of papers on the possibilities of publishing different types of resources to the new VMware Workspace portal, this time in the 2.0. In this initial document we will integrate VMware View desktops 6, as well as Microsoft Remote Desktop Services applications or desktops! With the final idea of centralizing all external access to our organization in a single portal in a secure way and we can publish more types of resources later!
In this document we have the second part of the deployment of VMware Horizon Workspace in our environment, We'll see how to finish setting it up, as well as the possibilities that we find when connecting from any computer, be a Windows, Mac, Mobile Device, or a web browser; to securely access our corporate application suite, Files or desktops!
Horizon Workspace 1.0 is VMware's centralization suite with which we can give secure access to our users, whether external or internal, to our corporate applications (centralize and control Windows software with ThinApp), as well as SaaS applications (Web), file synchronization or access to the View virtual desktop platform.
In this document, we'll look at deploying VMware Horizon Application Manager, which is a web portal where we will have two interfaces, one for management and one for our users, where we can present our ThinApp applications. Relying on a SaaS cloud service (Software as a Service) users will be able to open the ThinApp applications they need in a very simple way. Also with the recent version of VMware ThinApp, we will be able to integrate our packages more easily with the Horizon App Manager portal.
