Last week Citrix made public the StoreFront X1 version in Tech Preview mode and therefore not for production, A build that we can install to see and familiarize ourselves with the new interface and the new way of managing apps and desktops closer to the user, where I can add apps like in any Store!

This first Tech Preview will only be for the Receiver environment for Web and therefore we will be able to test with our browsers, later it will be done in the same way in Receiver for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, ios, Windows Phone, Chrome OS… using both XenApp, XenDesktop or XenMobile.

We downloaded it from the MyCitrix website & We start your installation,

We will install by default any requirements that need installation,

And well, We deploy the installation as usual,

Inside “Receiver para Web” We will be able to make the portal more friendly and corporate in a very simple way. Needless to say, making a customization on this portal is very simple to do manually, where we will only have to modify the image of the Citrix logo and the one in the background.

Well, Click on “Customize Website Appearance”.

We can put the logo of our organization in addition to the background color, Text and links.

In “Manage Featured Apps Groups” we will be able to create groups of applications to catalog them more easily for the end user,

We will be able to create groups of apps based on keywords, in your category/folder or your name. In addition to putting a personalized background on them.

If we open a browser we will be able to try this new interface!

And this would be the new look and feel of our application portal, where users will be able to access their latest apps, desktops or apps are added using these types of catalogs.
