En el pasado Citrix Synergy de Barcelona presentaron Citrix XenApp 6.5 Mobility Pack, es una funcionalidad nueva que mejora la experiencia de las aplicaciones soportadas o escritorios bajo dispositivos móviles, detecta automaticamente cualquier dispositivo con Citrix Receiver en Android 3.0 o en iOS.

Dos de las novedades de Citrix XenApp 6.5 es el uso Session Pre-launch o Preinicio que permite iniciar una sesión ICA a nuestros usuarios de forma automática con el fin de evitar ese pequeño lapso de tiempo cuando abren la primera app, la otra novedad es la configuración de Session Linger o Sesión Persistente, que permitirá configurar un tiempo para el cierre de la sesión ICA cuando el usuario cierra su última app evitando así el tener que esperar de nuevo cuando vuelva a abrir otra app.
Hoy vemos la primera aplicación de Citrix pensada exclusivamente para dispositivos móviles, en el Proyecto GoldenGate han desarrollado un cliente de correo con aspecto de una app que se ejecutará de forma segura y centralizada en nuestros servidores XenApp y se visualizará en Android, iPhone, iPad, tablets o cualquier dispositivo móvil. Este cliente de correo se conecta al servicio autodiscover de nuestra organización de Exchange, valida al usuario y le muestra su correo electrónico, sus contactos y su agenda. Todo ello con la idea de acercar Citrix a los usuarios 🙂

In order to give it a continuity, Citrix some time ago released a utility called Citrix Quick Launch that will allow us to connect directly to XenApp servers or to its applications as 'old'.
