Servers typically come with more than one network adapter, At least two adapters come integrated into the board, whether the server will only need to use a network adapter, What is usually done is a 'team’ to create a virtual network connection between the two for high fault tolerance, because if one network adapter fails, nothing would happen because we have the other adapter in this 'team'. Ideally, you should connect each network adapter to a separate switch, because if the switch also failed, we would have another adapter connected to another switch.

Para configurar un ‘team’ de redes, damos doble click al icono de “HP Network Configuration Utility Propierties” en la barra de herramientas.

Debemos seleccionar los adaptadores con los que queremos crear este ‘team’ y pulsar sobre el botón “Team”

Click on “OK” to save your changes.

“Yes” para confirmar los cambios que vamos a realizar.

Esperamos unos segundos mientras se aplica…

“OK”, tendremos que tener en cuenta que están las configuraciones de la nueva red bien configuradas.

“OK” todo correcto.

Y para configurar las propiedades de la red, nos habrá creado una nueva conexión de área local, in my case “Local Area Connection 3”. Entraré en sus propiedades y configurare los parametros que necesito, For example, asignarle la dirección IP que quiero que tenga este adaptador… y una vez configurado, ya podremos conectar el latiguillo de red de este adaptador a la red.

PS: Antes de configurar el equipo ni se os ocurra conectar ambos adaptadores de red al mismo switch.
