Raspberry Pi – Whole-house sound system

To welcome the 2016 Let's put a post that I like… In this document we will see how to set up an audio system for our homes! With some Raspberrys scattered around the house we can have a piped music or a multiroom system of the cheapest! We will be able to listen to any song from our multimedia server or music from our mobile, as well as Spotify or whatever we are interested in! We can send the audio indistinctly, to one Raspberry or multiple, as we are interested!

Publishing Citrix XenDesktop Applications to Citrix XenDesktop

I'm Oscar Mas and sometimes, We can see different products that make our lives easier, when delivering applications to our XenDesktop-based desktop servers. Some are well known such as Microsoft's APP-V, which has seamless integration with XenDesktop. Others are not as well-known as might be the case with VMWare App Volumes. But one of the best systems for delivering applications from our XenDesktop servers, is XenDesktop itself. The idea is to deliver applications from a XenDesktop Delivery Group to a XenDesktop Delivery Group, which simply gives us the desks.

One more Friday I leave you another great book, also by Xabier Genestós but this time bringing the Linux world closer to companies, where we will see ideas on how to apply an Open Source world to our businesses, because commercial is not always the best, And if you're scared, Start with non-core services or services that can't affect your company's production to gain confidence and see how normally, are the best solutions.

Citrix XenDesktop – DFS Namespace

I'm Oscar Mas and when we implemented a system based on XenDesktop, working with DFS Namespace is a must (DFS-N). What this Microsoft Role allows us, is to be able to manage different Storages, creating a single point of access through our DFS-N in a transparent manner, without having to know exactly where the data is located.

WFS Book – Windows File Server

Today I wanted to bring you another book by the great Xavier Genestós about the world of servers at Microsoft, Another of these super easy to read books, very technical and where we will always learn a trick. This time oriented to the management of the file server, that even if it doesn't seem like it, It's not just sharing folders. I end with a sentence: “If you think an expert is expensive, Wait until you see what an amateur costs you”.
