Free and interesting utilities for Citrix environments

In this document we see a series of quite interesting utilities, especially for Citrix environments, although there are some for Microsoft or VMware environments, They are all taken from the http website://ctxadmtools.musumeci.com.ar, We can download all of them in the pack called: CtxAdmTools. With them we will be able to list, export, Import and make bulk modifications in our Citrix communities, it is always quite interesting to be able to export something in case the DB gets corrupted, ¿No?

Script to run when you're on Citrix or Terminal Server but not on-premises (or vice versa)

Although it may seem a bit simple, I'm forced to have to post this, since many people have asked me for it and to put it here… How is it free… 😉 Well, is as simple as a script that will be executed at the login login of the users of our Active Directory, through policies or GPOs. There are many times that we want users to run a certain script when they're on Citrix but not when they're on-premises, or the other way around 😉 when they are in the local that they execute a certain script, but when they are in Citrix or Terminal Services they are not.

Installing the License Server for Terminal Server on Windows 2008

In any organization with Terminal Services servers, a license server must be installed that will be the one that controls how many users/devices connect to the Terminal Services servers. This is a component that needs to be installed on a server on the network, regardless of the components you have installed, and where we will later activate it via the internet/web browser/phone; and then we will install the licenses we have purchased. When we have the server installed and with the licenses purchased, we can generate reports/reports of their use, Consumer Use…

Configuring Terminal Server Gateway on Windows 2008

Terminal Services on Windows 2008 bring a new feature called “TS Gateway” that we use to connect from outside the organization to computers that use Terminal Server in the local area network. To be able to use this feature, we have to install it on a server on the network, we don't care if you have Terminal Server services installed or not. In the router/firewall we will redirect port 443tcp to this server and this in turn will redirect us to the Terminal Servers securely through 3389tcp, we can also apply certain directives to secure the connection a little more.
