Citrix Cloud Gateway Express – Citrix Receiver Storefront

As had been suspected… and confirmed it at the Citrix Synergy in Barcelona! Citrix Web Interface will no longer be developed, from now on it will be replaced by Citrix Cloud Gateway, which will have two editions, a free or Express (which will be the one we will see in this doc) and Enterprise. In this document we will install the new interface, which this time has a more attractive design for our users where they will be able to open both applications and desktops, or from a browser, as with Citrix Receiver.

Integrating Lync Server 2010 with OWA

In this document, we'll look at how to integrate instant messaging between Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 SP1 allowing our users to connect from the outside without the Lync client, something that is missing when it previously existed in Office Communications Server, so that our users, once logged into OWA, will be able to use instant messaging from a browser anywhere securely and with any device,

Multipath Configuration for RHEL Servers

Migrating ISA Server 2006 to Microsoft TMG 2010

Those of us who need to upgrade or migrate our previous ISA environments to the new Microsoft product, called Forefront TMG we will need to perform a migration by import/export configuration, since Forefront TMG only works under 64bit systems or Windows 2008 SP2 or R2 and we will not be able to upgrade it from an earlier version of ISA Server, be ISA 2004 or ISA 2006 (since they run on x86). We will also have to manually export the certificates along with their private key to the TMG, since this process simply migrates the configuration.

Installing and configuring WiKID to access the Citrix Web Interface with a token (Software!)

Complete document this, we will see the installation and configuration of WiKID for two-factor authentication with a software token instead of traditional hardware ones (SoftToken) against a Web Interface 5.3 from Citrix. To do this,, first we will install and configure WiKID that through an LDAP connection will connect to our Active Directory and authenticate the tokens in the Web Interface with RADIUS, assign/configure the token against a user in our domain and open a Citrix session. WiKID is a paid product but has a very low price, Logically, we can use this document to configure other services by tokenizing.

Encrypting our hard drive with TrueCrypt

TrueCrypt is a great utility that will allow us to encrypt our hard drives, are local, Remote, USB, pen drive, Sd… Thanks to this utility we will avoid any loss of information through theft or loss of our laptop or external media, The decryption form being transparent and fast for our users. Uses different encryption algorithms (AES, Serpent and Twofish or a combination of them). We could even create a hidden partition with a hidden operating system in case we were forced to hand over our password, to give them false information! Can be used on Windows XP/2000/2003/Vista/7, Mac OS X, Linux… Of course it is free! (but not GNU). How to decrypt a password or a file can be used (Keyfile) whatever each one prefers, being able to decrypt the system disk when starting the computer or if we take the disk out and connect it to another computer, if you have TrueCrypt installed it would also be enough. The […]
